Currently courses can be offered at the Community Sport Initiation and Instructor – Beginner levels

The OFA recommends that coaches register in the IOC's Athlete Learning Gateway found here>>

The Athlete Learning Gateway is an innovative new way for elite athletes to study while training and competing. The service is available for you to use at any time, wherever you are, free of charge. Our short courses feature academic lecture videos created by leading academics and professionals from the world of sport. They also include practical insights from top athletes, coaches and inspirational leaders.

The Athlete Learning Gateway also features short, interesting articles and videos we have found across the internet, to motivate, inspire or even challenge you in your sporting career and beyond. We hope you find them useful.

The OFA is pleased to offer a funding opportunity to support coaching development in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Fencing League. Individuals who occupy the role of OUA Head Coach or OUA Assistant Coach, for their university fencing program, may apply to receive a coaching development grant to help cover a portion of the costs of the upcoming Coach Development Course to be held in Kingston in April and May. Each coach that applies may receive $300, toward their investment in themselves, to achieve certification in coaching. The grant is payable upon completion of the full coaching course. Grants are limited to two per university.
