1. Events listed in red are those that have been moved to a different day than originally planned, due to low registration numbers.  Events will be mixed.  If these individual events reach the threshold at the close of check-in, the competition will be separated.

2. Friday events will be scheduled with check-in closures at or after 6:00pm, in order to permit travel time on Friday afternoon. Please ensure to account for downtown commuter traffic during a Friday evening.

3. The U23 category is being introduced this year as an exhibition event (no points for rankings, howe The U23 category is being introduced this year as an exhibition event (no points for rankings, however, medals will be awarded). Thus, competitors who register for U23 must also be registered for the Senior event in order to participate. Competitors must be under 23 years old as of December 31st, 2017 (birthdate in or after 1995).  The event will be held as a separate DE event, based upon the results of the Senior event; the DE table will be conducted separate from the Senior DE table, and coordinated so as to ensure competitors are able to participate in both without conflict.

4. Team events will be conducted as a direct elimination table, seeded based upon the Senior event individual results. At least one fencer on the team must have competed in the Senior individual event.  Only 8 teams are permitted to compete for the Provincial title, based upon (a) date/time of registration, (b) one per club (Unless space permits), and (c) strength of the team.  A side event will be established for all teams above 8 who wish to participate, but will compete in a separate DE table toward a separate ranking, and will not be competing for the Provincial title or medals.  On-site registration ($160/team) will only be accepted if space is available, subject to the limits and discretion of the Directoire Technique.
Note that all TEAM participant names must be registered/confirmed with the DT at the time of check-in for the Senior event.

Men’s Epee and Men’s Foil Team events - Team Captains are required to attend a brief meeting with the DT at 7:50am.

5. For events within the same category (e.g. JMS and CMS) that are being held on the same day, the schedule will be arranged to accommodate competitors to participate in all those events. However, if a competitor is registered within different weapon categories within the same day (e.g. SME and SMS), no accommodation will be made so conflict may necessitate the competitor to withdraw from one of the conflicted events.

6. All competitors must hold an active Competitive Membership.

7. Facilities will be opened at 7:15am on both Saturday and Sunday; fencing will not start before 8:00am to permit sufficient time for warm-up, equipment checks, and preparation. Participants at the Provincials will have access to day locker storage, but must provide their own locks. Shower facilities are also available, but athletes must bring their own towels and toiletries.

8. Athletic therapy and medical coverage will be available on site. For any taping that is requested, athletes must provide their own tape. Ice is available on request.

9. There will be NO equipment vendors available at the Championships, as none were available. Please ensure that you come with sufficient personal equipment to compete in your event(s).
